UNDUN is a slow fashion brand with a heavy focus on sustainable and ethical practices. Laura started her brand in 2020 after graduating from Textile Design at the University of Dundee in lockdown. All garments are designed, and hand made by Laura.
Her goal is to create fun garments in the most sustainable way possible. In an industry that’s developed such a throw away culture, she aims to create high quality garments that can be worn time and time again.
Why made to order?
Every single UNDUN piece is made to order in Scotland. Our clothing being made to order means we only produce pieces that customers actually want, avoiding unnecessary mass production. Although this creates a longer wait time for your garment, this approach helps to reduces waste and also makes each garment feel more personal, created specifically for you.
What fabrics do you use?
When we aren’t reworking vintage pieces, we use environmentally friendly or Deadstock fabrics wherever we can. All our fabrics and vintage garments (used for the reworked pieces) are sourced from small businesses within the UK. Deadstock fabrics refers to rolls of fabric that are left unsold by a fabric mill or leftover from a brands production run. They are a sustainable alternative to purchasing new fabric as they are being saved from landfill or destruction. This also means stock in this fabric is limited. Our printed fabrics use eco-friendly inks and are digitally printed by a company in London whose processes use 95% less energy than traditional textile printing. They use only 100% renewable energy sources and virtually no water.
Made to Order
All pieces are made to order, our recommended time frame for your item to be made is 14-21 working days (not including weekends or holidays) The next update that you will receive will be a dispatch confirmation email with a tracking number once your item has been shipped. If you still haven’t received an email on the 21st working day, please get in touch.
We cannot guarantee items to arrive for a specific date unless agreed on before placing an order.
(Please note that all stated manufacturing timelines are indicative only. Due to the complex nature of garment production with only 1 member of staff, occasional minor delays may occur and do not constitute a breach of contract between undun and the purchaser)
